Building Day, International Tuba Day, National Teacher's Day - Stack them up, and knock them down! This building block game is a favorite among children. Learning to stack blocks will be easy for you little one. Start out with three or four blocks at first. As children get older they’ll want to see how high they can stack them. You and your child will have a terrific time stacking blocks as high as you can before they go tumbling to the ground. For older kids, blocks are helpful for demonstrating various math concepts (multiplication and fractions) and music concepts (whole notes, half notes, quarter notes)
International Tuba Day- I love to watch Tuba’s go by in a parade. They are like the elephants of a marching band with their big bells and low notes.
Many city orchestra’s hold Musical Petting Zoos where children get a chance to try out various instrumuents. These events are usually free. Check with your local symphony association
Teacher's are so important in our lives. Today is a day for your child to let his teacher know just how special! All teachers appreciate a little pampering! Bring a special drawing your child has made, along with cookies or flowers to your child’s Include a note stating something specific that you appreciate about her or him, and include a quote about the teacher from your child, too!
