May Activiites, Miniature Golf, No Socks Day, Train Day
No Socks Day – Aww – the weather is warm. Take off your shoes and socks and enjoy the feel of grass, wiggle your toes in sand, splash them in water and squish them in the mud. Then rinse off those toes with a beautiful smelling soap and warm water and pamper them with a little lotion. And for the younger set, a game of “This Little Piggy “went to market is in order.
Miniature Golf Day - Miniature golf is a fun way for kids to learn putting skills, practicing hand-eye coordination, timing while enjoying all the imaginative settings. Take the whole family out to play. Find a miniature golf course near you. It’s not important to keep score – although my kids always love that they usually win. Keep a closed eye on children as they play, to make sure no one gets conked with a golf club.
Train Day - Instead of taking the car today, go on an outing on the train and turn the day into a travel adventure. After you come home, make a simple animal train.
Read The Little Engine That Could: Deluxe Edition and then make your own circus train! Decorate several shoeboxes with paint, crayons and stickers. Punch holes in each end of the boxes and attach them together with string or yarn. Fill them with animals and dolls.. And for bigger train fans (I’m married to one), visit your model railway museum
