I don't know about you, but "I forgot" is something I hear whenever I ask about chores being done. But "forgetting" can also be a good thing. Today, forget about the mistakes that kids make, the mess in their room, the day the mud was tracked in - and focus and notice the things things your kids are doing right. They'll love the extra, positive attention.

JULY 3 - Stay out of the sun day, Compliment your mirror day
Mirror, mirror on the wall.... kids (and grownups) spend a lot of time trying to tame the "monster" in the mirror. Today, look in the mirror and say something nice to yourself. Give a mirror to your kids. Make some funny monster faces and then compliment the beautiful laughing faces.
It is so important to protect children from the sun. One of the ways to protect children over six months old is to have them wear a broad-spectrum, SPF 15 or greater sunscreen every day. Putting on sunscreen can be fun. Here are some ideas to try: Make a sunscreen design on your child’s arm or leg. Then, rub it all in together. Many sunscreens made for children come in a variety of colors - some even have sparkles. Let your children choose the colors they like best. Be a clown. Dab sunscreen on your child’s nose, cheeks, chin and forehead. Look at the funny clown you have created in the mirror before rubbing in the sunscreen. Let your children put sunscreen on you before you put it on them. Place dots of sunscreen all over your child and have them rub the sunscreen in to connect-the-dots.
