June 30- Balance Day
How long can you balance on one foot?
Here’s an activity useful in developing your child’s sense of balance as well as teaching him the names of his body parts. Get your bean bags and call out the body parts. For example: NOSE! Now see how long your child can balance the beanbag on his nose. Then shout out the other body parts: HEAD! ARM! EAR! And so on.
See if your child can balance two beanbags at once; one beanbag on his head and the other on his foot! How long can you balance the beanbag on your nose?
